Trip Introduction
Everest Base Camp and the land of the hardy Sherpa people awaits… This is the worlds’ most awe inspiring and iconic mountain trail ever…Through brilliant natural contrasts and colors, of landscape, nature, people and culture. Prayer flags blow in the wind as we trek the trails of past mountaineers to some of the worlds’ most amazing sights, getting up close and personal with six of the highest points in the world, Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, and Cho-Oyu – rising majestically above everything surrounding it. It is universally accepted that the Everest Base Camp trek is indeed – the grandest hike of them all.
Starting from the Tenzing-Hillary Airport, we journey through the Sagarmatha National Park, Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Dugla, and Lobuche. The vibrant landscapes of verdant alpine forests, majestic mountain views, waterfalls, raging glacial rivers, and stony mountain trails offer a firsthand experience of the life and colorful culture of the hardy Sherpa community. A holiday not to be missed…
